Cleaning house, packing suitcases & saying sweet goodbyes

Wow! It’s our last day in Ohio. We are almost packed and ready to go :) It feels as if we are about to take a huge exhale of relief that we finally made it to this point while simultaneously taking in a huge breath because we are about to JUMP into a lot of unknown. Let’s GO!

We will be arriving at the University of Nations YWAM base in Kona on Wednesday for the first half of the Discipleship Training School (DTS). Around 25 families from Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Canada, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Oklahoma, (and more) will be joining us in this program that equips families to be on mission together. The first half of the program involves teaching/training on the YWAM base followed by an outreach location that is decided during the first half.

Genesis 12:1 “Leave your native country… and go to the land that I will show you.”

Abram was told to leave home and then after leaving, God would show him where exactly to go. Last week we read this verse and boy do we feel like Abram right now. We don’t know what country we are going to yet… How do you pack a whole family when you don’t even know what continent you’ll be on?! A few days ago, we received the list of outreach locations. Some of the countries sound a little more intimidating than others with our family of 6, but our prayer has continued to be, “Lord, we want to see revival. Send us to where you are moving with power, signs & wonders. We want to partner with you that many would come to know Jesus!” We will be praying about where to go and submitting our preferences. Leadership will then build outreach teams & share with us in the next couple of weeks. Please pray with us for our yet-to-be-decided outreach location!

Even though we will only be gone for about 6 months, saying goodbye has made us realize more than ever that we have VERY deep relationships that we love so VERY much. After almost 2 decades of investing into a church community, our hearts are so connected! Thank you all for your prayers, encouragement and financial support that has carried us to this point. We treasure your continued prayers! Oh that many would come alive in Jesus and surrender everything to Him.
